Numbers

The numbers 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, … (and so on) are whole numbers.

Numbers

We use numbers to count things, like apples:-

1. AppleHere's an apple. Just one apple.

2. AppleHere's another apple. Now we have two apples. AppleApple

 

Try counting from one to ten and have a go at the counting rhymes in English:-

Rhymes and Songs

Fish

One, two, three, four, five,
Once I caught a fish alive.
Six, seven, eight, nine, ten,
Then I let it go again.

Shoe

One, two - buckle my shoe ,
three, four - knock on the door,
five, six - pick up sticks,
